Tracey Shababo

Tracey is a costume designer, craftsperson and educator.  She has had the pleasure to work at many major institutions including The New York City Ballet, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York University, St. John's University, The Santa Fe Opera, The School of Visual Arts and many more.  

Tracey has designed costumes for dozens of productions and has assisted designers with Broadway, Off-Broadway and Regional productions.  

In her 6 years at the New York City Ballet, Tracey was honored to work alongside designers including Valentino, Gilles Mendel, Stella McCartney, the Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte and many others.  

Tracey's experience as an educator includes university students at NYU and SVA and grade-schoolers learning to sew at The Fashion Class.  Additionally, Tracey teaches crafts classes for adults at venues including The Westside YMCA and The American Folk Art Museum.
